    Point Istanbul 2014: A tensed environment with demonstrations due to political repression: Aslı gives shelter to a young political activist, who got into a fight with the police. The police investigates the case and ends up questioning Aslı's family. Aslı is torn between her families’ safety and her own courage to do the right thing.  Then her husband gets drawn into the affair. Their lives, and also their son's, start to become compromised. The situation escalates, as Aslı is not willing to cooperate with the investigators.

      Ilker Çatak is born in 1984 in Berlin. Later he lives in Istanbul, does his Abitur and then moves back to Berlin to study directing film & television. His bachelor thesis on the turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan is published in 2010. In 2011 he is granted a scholarship from German national TV in which he writes his first feauture film. On the side he directs commercials. Since 2012 he takes his Master's class in film directing at Hamburg Media School. The short film he directed, "Where We Are", received the short film prize of the Murnau foundation, the Max-Ophüls-prize in 2014 and was one of the ten nominees for the student film Oscars 2014. His latest film "Sadakat" was awarded with the Max-Ophüls-prize 2015 and just recently won in the category "Foreign Film" at the 42nd Student Academy Awards.

Since 1999, Till has worked as a professional computer graphics artist on his own independent projects and as an efficient one-man production-company for high profile clients. His work has been exhibited in hundreds of international film festivals, featured in books and at SIGGRAPH, and have garnered more than 60 awards.

    Point Karl, a frustrated businessman and young father is on his way to his son's birthday party when he gets stuck on a malicious traffic island in the middle of a forest. Said traffic island sucks the blood of the dead bodies of those who try to cross the road at a red light - and thus get run over by trucks with exorbitant speed. As Karl is trying to escape, a struggle for life and death unfolds, lasting an entire year. "90 degrees north" makes us question the blind faith in our system and shows a new way of thinking in order to change our beliefs.

      Detsky Graffam works as a filmmaker in London and Berlin and has worked as a director and editor for the BBC, Channel 4, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. He is developing three feature film projects at present. Detsky has directed several award winning shorts. Peace of Mind won first prize in the Cobravision Awards, 2006. How I Learned to Love Richard Gere received the Caroline's Comedy Emerging Talent Award at the Hamptons International Film Festival, 2008 and is distributed by Interfilm Berlin. Slither came second at the Berlin 7 Going Underground Festival, 2008. Down Under won first prize in a short film competition held by 20th Century Fox and is distributed by Premium Films.
