TCDC Commons Creative Food: Unveiling Bangkok's Latest Creative Food Community

Thailand is one of the world’s food producers. The variety of tastes and creative experience of serving Thai food set Thailand as the food destination and generated US$64 billion in 2018. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has ruined the tourism industry and shifted consumer behavior to a new normal, which forced the food entrepreneurs to be more creative. The changes in consumer behaviors include ordering takeaway food, ordering food delivery service, and turning to self-cooking. These new approaches to consumption are the new challenge and opportunity for the food industry. But, no matter what the opportunity or challenges we have, “creativity” is the key to adapt to survive and stand out in the market.

CEA is one of the agencies that promote the food market in Thailand. We have just unveiled TCDC COMMONS Creative Food (at Seacon Square) in 2021. It is an all-in-one creative food learning center where food entrepreneurs and people interested in food will have the opportunity to learn more, get ideas and inspiration, and learn about doing business in the food market. We aim to bring creativity into the food industry and food entrepreneur development to help add more value to the products and services. In addition, we would like to extend our cultural capital to serve the needs of people nowadays.
