  • Impressions of Organizing the Forum of Turkic States on Artificial Intelligence (AI)
On October 9-10, 2024, Bishkek hosted the unique Forum of Turkic States on Artificial Intelligence, which I had the honor of organizing. The event brought together more than 500 participants and 46 speakers from 20 countries, becoming an important platform for discussing key issues of digital development in the Turkic world.

Organizing such a large-scale event was both a challenge and an inspiring experience for me and my team. Preparing for this event required meticulous coordination, from selecting topics to finalizing the participation of international experts. However, the most crucial element was creating an atmosphere of collaboration and open dialogue. Our main goal was not only to showcase achievements in artificial intelligence but also to provide participants with a platform to exchange ideas and initiatives that could help advance this field in the Turkic states.

One of the most memorable moments for me was the speech by the Minister of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic, Nuriya Kutnayeva. She emphasized that cooperation among the Turkic countries in digital transformation opens new horizons for all participants. I personally witnessed the convergence of interests and initiatives from various countries, and that was truly inspiring.

The Forum was supported not only by government structures but also by international organizations and the private sector, including Google and UNDP. These partners helped make the event truly international, drawing attention to AI issues both within and beyond the region.

One of the key outcomes was the agreement among participants to work on joint projects in AI and digitalization. We hope these initiatives will help the countries in the region quickly adapt to global technological trends and use AI for economic and social development.

This Forum became a milestone for all of us — both for those who organized it and for those who joined the discussions. We have laid the foundation for further interaction and collaboration, and that, perhaps, is the most valuable achievement.
