  • Peruvian Ceviche: Like Swallowing the Sea
  • When it comes to Peruvian seafood, the first dish that comes to mind is, without question, ceviche. it’s a simple dish made with fresh fish combined with red onions, chili peppers, and coriander, which finishes with a sharp bite of lemon. But when you actually taste it, you’ll be caught off guard, thinking to yourself, “What is this…? It’s so good!” The acidity, the heat, the umami of the fish, and the crisp bite of the onion. Everything comes rushing in at once, then you’re spooning up bite after bite, and before you know, it has disappeared from your plate.

  • The World's Best Breakfast? Peru's "Pan con Chicharrón"
  • There is a very well-known sandwich in Peru that has even been called "the world's best breakfast."
    It’s “pan con chicharrón.” The literal translation is "bread with chicharrón (fried pork with skin on)." Although the name is simple, it has rich, complex flavors and is the go-to thing to eat in the morning, a substantial breakfast that Peruvians have long loved.

  • Peruvian “Menú Culture” - I Love It!
  • Today, Sunday the 28th of July, was Peru's Independence Day (a public holiday). Right through the month of July, the Peruvian flag has been hoisted on buildings, and museum staff have worn on their chests ribbons and pin badges in the same colors as the Peruvian flag, called the "Escarapela del Perú (the Cockade of Peru)”.
