The Pine Tree Villa

Lion and Bird break into an uninhabited villa to find out about the reason why it is not aging. Immediately they feel the power that keeps the villa alive. A fairytale about self-liberation.
Jan Koester won the ARTE award for the best short film in the context of the 32th International Short Film Festival in Hamburg (2016) . He had been chosen from the ARTE-Jury consisting of Barbara Häbe and Catherine Colas. Additionally it was rewarded with the Public's Choice Award, the result of which emerged from public votes of the international and German contest.

John, a famous rockstar, dies accidently during a concert and awakes in Nirvana. There he has to face his wishes and deeds. It was awarded with the Silver Bear in the category "Best Short Film" at the International Film Festival in Berlin (2006) and also received several awards at other international film festivals, including festivals in Russia, China and the USA.
