SSFF & ASIA Osaka 2016 offers a variety of programs and events!
The program unique to Osaka will include screenings of a special collection of German animation and special Taiwanese collection, and once again this year will offer a new way of appreciating film called EAT FILM that combines food and short films. The first program of the day (10:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.) will give away a different kind of bread each day from Café & Meal MUJI located on the 4th floor of Grand Front Osaka North Tower to the first 300 visitors.
There will also be content-rich talks after the shows given by various guests that audiences can look forward to.

EAT FILM

EAT FILM is a new way of appreciating film from Knowledge Capital that combines food and short films. The first program of the day (10:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.) will give away a different kind of bread each day from Café & Meal MUJI to the first 300 visitors. Enjoy a short film while eating breakfast that will provide energy for the day.

CAFÉ Lab. on the 1st floor of Grand Front Osaka North Tower has created an original menu based on the film festival theme, Cinema Carnival.

Honolulu Coffee will sell coffee during the festival

During the festival, Honolulu Coffee will set up a temporary shop to sell coffee in the Knowledge Theater lobby.

After Talk Program

Talks will be given by various speakers after each film program featuring guests such as Film Directors, artists, and intellectuals who are active in many different genres.
In addition, after the Children's Program there will be performances by dance teams.

German Animation Film Special

Highly recommended programs chosen by Goethe Institut Osaka will be introduced, including films awarded the Silver Bear in the short film category at the 2006 Berlin Film Festival.

Future Film Day in Taiwan

The program this year will feature refreshing short dramatic films from Taiwan by spirited young Taiwanese directors (5 films: Otter Space, Ms. Vanilla, Yoki, Rest in Peace, and Red Dress)!
