Honda began studying sign language after his own experience of helping a deaf person when he was still in his first year of university. He established a volunteer group for sign language interpreters and has experienced setting up an NPO. Focusing on the human body and senses as the main theme, he began his research along with the deaf to create a new user interface that can experience sound in the hair called “Ontenna.” Currently, they are working on a project to deliver “Ontenna” as soon as possible to the deaf around the world, and they are aiming to spread “Ontenna” to all deaf person by the year 2020.
