Julien Maire

Julien Maire (b. 1969) is a French Media Artist and Senior teaching fellow of Digital Art at Marseille Public College for Artistics Studies. Since 1990 he has been working at the intersection of disciplines such as performance media installation and cinema. The works he produces are live hybrid entities.His works have been shown at Transmediale Berlin Digital Art Festival European Media Art Festival Film Festival Rotterdam Film Festival Oberhausen Sonar Barcelona ZKM Karlsruhe ICC Tokyo Empac New York and Powerstation Shanghai.Julien Maire was winner of the Biennale Update_2 award in 2008 and was finalist of the World Technology Award in New York in 2009. He has been awarded special mentions for the Ars Electronica Prize on several occasions.
